Use your own domain name

Already own a domain? You can use it for your site.

Steps

  1. In Ember, tap Domain, then Use a domain I own.
  2. Type your domain, for example mapleandrye.com.
  3. Ember shows two or three short records with Copy buttons.
  4. Sign in where you bought your domain (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.), open DNS settings, and paste each record.
  5. Come back and tap Check now. Ember also keeps checking for you, and emails you when it's connected.

It can take from a few minutes to a few hours for the internet to notice the change. That's normal.
