Class sheet
Rent the harvester. Do not park it in the barn all year.
The class compared a heavy model to a combine you would not buy for one week of work. The notes keep that comparison and leave the slide prices out. Prices change. The shape of the decision does not.
On-demand machines
Modal, in this lesson, is the fleet you call for a hard job. It starts for the work and it stops when the work stops. You are not in the business of greasing a machine that sits idle. DNS is the sign at the gate: a name people can say, translated to the numeric address of the machine that is actually hosting the files.
Private means the records stay on your ground
A public chat can read what you paste and may use it to train. A private setup is for documents, client work, and ideas you are not willing to drop in a shared hopper. Open models are there so one vendor's policy change is not the whole business.
The cab and the hitch
Cursor is the cab in the class: you steer, you do not rebuild the engine to change implements. MCP is the hitch that connects that cab to the files and tools you already have. The public walkthrough is the Cursor course. A live session is the booking page.
